Job Summary
We are seeking a Developing Markets Manager to lead the implementation and evolution of the Association’s strategy to become the most valued financial partner for young and beginning (YB) producers. This role encompasses sales leadership, business planning, educational coordination, process improvement, mission strategies, and product development. The manager provides direction and guidance to the Developing Markets Starting Gate team, Retail, Corporate Commercial, AgDirect, Business Services, and Insurance Leadership.
Partnering with internal and external stakeholders for agricultural loan products and related services, actively developing relationships with industry and education resources. The Developing Markets Manager works cross-functionally to outline strategic performance indicators, design growth strategies, increase customer impact, and develop consistent processes across our eight-state footprint. This role will lead the delivery of the Association’s mission to enhance the financial acumen of young and beginning producers, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, regulations, procedures, and policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Developing Markets and Young & Beginning Program Management
- Provide guidance and direction for a shared vision, and positive communications to achieve the Associations’ Developing Markets and YBS vision and strategy consistent with the Associations’ core values and team principles. Build strong relationships and collaborative partnerships within the enterprise Associations to understand the segments opportunities and challenges.
- Collaborate with Strategy team and stakeholders to develop the Young & Beginning Farmer Strategic Business Plan.
- Develop and monitor the business plan and annual operating budgets related to areas of responsibilities. Review and approve operational expenditures within delegated authority.
- Partner with the Sales Enablement to design and deploy the Young & Beginning go to market strategy with a focus on increasing sales, customer acquisitions, and market share.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement growth strategies for the Developing Markets portfolio, communicate with Leadership and coordinate plans.
- Facilitate enhancements and implementation of the Developing Markets Program through leadership and coordination of the Developing Markets team.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Enablement, RVP - Lending, SVP - Retail, and Sales Teams to design comprehensive sales and marketing strategies for the Developing Markets program.
- Work in partnership with business unit leaders and key stakeholders to ensure a consistent and holistic perspective when planning enterprise-wide or cross-business unit change management.

Education Requirements
- 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or Finance; Agriculture-focused is preferred
Years of Experience
- 6 plus years of experience in Business development, lending, sales, and/or marketing with practical knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities for young, beginning, and small producers. Ability to manage large-scale initiatives across teams, while nurturing positive relationships across the organization.
