Job Summary
*This role requires on-site attendance in either the Omaha, NE or Fargo, ND office, a minimum of 3 days each week.
We are hiring multiple Credit Operations Analysts for various teams within our organization. This role will support loan decisioning activities and collaborate with local marketplace delivery teams. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a high performing team in a fast-paced environment. As a Credit Operations Analyst, you will complete required financial information spreading and analysis tasks after the initial loan application through closing and servicing. In this role, you will partner closely with the Credit Underwriters and Sales Teammates to prepare financial packages for system and manual underwriting decisions in a timely manner that consistently meets or exceeds our customers' expectations.
The Credit Operations Analyst will have the ability to learn and develop skills in this job that could lead to careers in Underwriting, AgDirect, or Agribusiness Credit. The ideal candidate for this job is a person who has general finance or credit skills, is a self-starter, has a mind for differential analysis and has a desire to conduct in-depth analysis on credit applications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Confirm, assemble, and input financial data including balance sheets, tax returns, income statements, projected income statements, and cash flow statements into Farm Credit Services of America’s portfolio management database for complex and/or high-risk operations where interpretation of data, recommended direction, independent decision-making, and any necessary research would be required.
- Calculate collateral, complete after-close balance sheets, and complete the loan risk rating process.
- Analyze financials to determine if computed trend compares to industry standards.
- Work with Credit Analyst to ensure high quality financials are prepared for the customer in accordance with service standards.
- Quality and production expectations are at the team’s highest level.
- Provide exceptional customer service and collaboration to internal and external customers.
- Actively respond to inquiries from teammates regarding the financial input status of loans.
- Proactively communicate with teammates on any needs for missing and/or inconclusive information on loan requests.
- Respond to inquiries for which answers involve complex decision-making and understanding of loan products.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with teammates, by providing a consistent level of quality and professional service that is timely, thorough, and responsive to the needs of the customer.
- This includes face-to-face interactions, telephone communications, written correspondence, and electronic communication.
- Take ownership of potential problems until resolved to the customer’s satisfaction, which may include involving other team members.
Education Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Business, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting preferred or equivalent related experience and/or specialized training will be considered.
Years of Experience

2+ years’ relevant experience in loan processing.

A general working knowledge of credit policies, procedures, standards, credit extension and underwriting processes.

Basic knowledge of financial principles and their application to credit delivery.
