Job Summary

**Incumbent must work three days each week in the Omaha, NE office**

 

We are seeking an experienced and talented Program Manager to drive and coordinate some of our Associations largest and most complex programs. The Program Manager is responsible for working with project teams to drive the overall program timeline, execution, facilitating key program ceremonies, aligning work streams, resolving or raising issues and risks and visualizing the interdependencies of the work within the program.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership
    • Appropriate utilization of practices, processes, methodologies, metrics, and tools to deliver consistent and effective program management, including:
    • Identification of objectives, scope, risks, and expected outcomes;
    • Accountability for program status, issue, and impediment communication
    • Program level release planning and oversight
    • Impediment and risk escalation
    • Facilitating communication into and out of the program
    • Coordinating dependencies and alignment between the various project efforts that make up the larger program
    • Coordinating alignment of technical and non-technical activities
    • Overall timeline management
    • Program level release planning and oversight
    • Working in partnership with business owners, Product Managers/Analysts and Sponsors to clearly define business needs and create a better understanding of program value.
    • Assisting Product Managers/Analysts in definition of project/program goals and objectives and communicate expectations for completion to the team(s).
    • Collaborating with Associations’ business units and technology teams to identify issues, risks, and overall status to communicate these to an oversight and governance team at established frequency.
    • Documenting and communicating program progress and coordinate interdependencies with related projects or programs. Monitor and share key measures across projects within the program.
    • Overseeing program deliverables, ensuring effective completion and implementation in line with organizational strategic goals and objectives.
    • Collaborating with business unit leaders and key stakeholders to ensure a consistent and holistic perspective when planning enterprise-wide or cross-business unit change management.
    • Coordinating program testing, training, implementation, and/or change management plans as needed.
    • Facilitate and enable end-to-end value delivery through Agile Release Trains (ARTs)—and build a high-performing ART by being a servant leader and coach as a Release Train Engineer (RTE)
    • Ensuring compliance with 3rd party contracts / agreements.
  • Supporting a culture of continual / relentless improvement by generating insights & thought-leadership around enterprise business agility maturity, program management advancement, and recommend process improvements.
  • Engaging with a variety of business teams to provide coaching and skill development using business agility techniques.
  • Facilitating cross-functional teams and workgroups.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred in Business Administration, Project Management, Technology, Economics or Finance

Years of Experience

  • 6 + years of experience in Large-scale project or program management with experience leading enterprise initiatives across divisions/teams, the ability to monitor the work of others, nurture positive relationships across the organization, and provide coaching to project or program team members as needed
  • Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (preferably in the role of a Release Train Engineer)

Certification and Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and tools related to carrying out essential responsibilities of the position.
  • Scaled Agile Framework certifications/achievements/training highly preferred such as SPC, RTE, SSM, SAFe Agilist
  • PMP, Scrum Master or other Project Management certification highly preferred
