*Hybrid- This position must work a percentage of each week from the Omaha, NE or Fargo, ND office*

 

We are looking for a Credit Review Officer to join our team. In this role, you will develop traditional and targeted review programs that identify and evaluate loan administration risks. Perform value-added credit and file documentation reviews of traditional agriculture, trade credit, AgriBusiness, and Capital Markets credits, including originations and collections. This position will focus on assessing the effectiveness of credit administration areas such as analysis, risk identification, and the appropriate use of debt structure, conditions, and monitoring to control risks.  

The ideal candidate would possess thorough leadership and insight, critical thinking skills, investigative tools, and in-depth knowledge of risk management to identify areas for improvement in lending policies and procedures. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Complete credit and file administration reviews for various lending business units and targeted reviews, assess the level of risk caused by identified errors, conduct root cause analysis, and maintain sound documentation to support completed work and assigned loan administration ratings.  
  • Discuss potential issues with lending business unit teammates, discuss credit review trend issues and recommendations with leaders, and participate in escalation meetings with respective leaders as needed. 
  • Prepare written reports by analyzing review trends, assessing possible root causes, and recommending appropriate corrective solutions. Orally present review findings to the business unit. 
  • Coordinate the loan sample selection during the credit review planning process.  
  • Lead the training and coordinate the activities of guest reviewers who assist in conducting review activities and ensure the review quality and consistency of reviewer work. 
  • Serve as a consultative resource on credit administration related issues and processes, which may include presenting at various team or leader meetings and responding to funding bank, auditor, and regulator questions. Stays abreast of company policy, standards, and procedure requirements. Conducts research to address the most complex questions as they arise. 
  • Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with key review program partners such as Credit, Business Development, Legal, Training, Operations, Technology, and Risk Management teams. 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Minimum in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Agribusiness

Years of Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in credit underwriting, credit review, or audit
