As a Cloud/Systems Engineer Intern at FCSAmerica, you’ll be working on a team that is responsible for digitizing our products and services to bring them online to meet our customer needs.
You’ll learn to use tools such as Software as Service (Saas), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) - with a particular expertise in the Azure platform, GIT and Microsoft Azure DevOps. You’ll have the opportunity to work with architecture roles within the organization, such as Network Architects, Solutions Architects, Data Architects, Business Architects and Enterprise Architects
Here are a few things you’ll be doing as a Cloud/Systems Engineer Intern:
- Learn to implement practices, tools and processes that increase visibility into how solutions are performing.
- Work across technology and business teams to provide systems infrastructure and platform architectural direction and oversight for both on-premise and cloud-based solutions.
- Learn how infrastructure and platforms standards are designed in concert with new and existing solutions.
- Support DevOps techniques and technologies.
- Develop an understanding of how on-premise and cloud-based systems and infrastructure are designed appropriately for security to ensure protection against current and future threats.
- Solve problems by reviewing the objectives and scope, gathering facts, analyzing data, and preparing alternatives.
- Produce software solutions that inherently support testing at multiple levels prior to delivery.
Travel Time
- Travel will be required to the Omaha office three times during the 12-week internship. Orientation, mid-summer and final presentation, dates TBD.
Education Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelors or master’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, Data Science or similar degree preferred
- Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
- Available for a 12-week internship during summer of 2024
