Job Summary

**Candidate must work a percentage of time each week in the Omaha, NE office**

 

Our Solutions Enablement team is seeking a Business Analyst who has a demonstrated ability to collaborate with product owners to clearly define business needs, recommend innovative solutions and work within an agile team to bring those solutions to fruition. A successful candidate has the ability to solve complex problems, quickly learn our business and understand the technical aspects of software development.  

 

On the Solutions Enablement team we provide our applications development teammates with what they need to move faster with higher quality so they can focus on delivering business functionality. We accomplish this by taking care of the pieces of the software development life cycle that are common across teams to ensure consistency, increase efficiency, and to reduce toil. We collaborate closely with Applications Development, Enterprise Architecture, and Infrastructure teams to ensure we develop the right solutions for our teammates and customers.  

 

This role will define and prioritize products’ epics and break them down into workable user stories to ensure business needs are met. This individual will use data and metrics to provide work estimates and make recommendations for continuous improvement of our products and team processes. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform analysis of business and user requirements for software applications. Support the delivery of products and services through coordination of efforts of a cross-functional team of business and development personnel and recommend innovative solutions to meet business user needs.  
  • Develop user stories to initiate the development of features to create an envisioned system or to coordinate with third party vendors. This may include facilitation and coordination with other business teams, end users, and other IT teams.  
  • Consult, and assist in explanation of user stories and identification of system dependencies to development teammates and participate throughout the development process to ensure requirements are met.  
  • May support business applications in production or coordinate the transition of user support to the production support team.  
  • Consult with business team in the development of user documentation and training materials and the coordination of user training sessions.  
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office tools and SQL, Snowflake or other relational databases. 
  • Experience with complex data analysis and troubleshooting of a data warehouse. 
  • Familiar with relational and multi-dimensional database concepts. 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance or Accounting.

Years of Experience

  • 2+ years of experience researching, analyzing and developing solutions for computer applications issues and/or supporting business applications (relevant company knowledge/experience may off-set some of the technical requirement).
  • Working experience with testing methodologies as part of product development and quality assurance. 
  • Exposure to agile project methodologies. 
  • Experience in developing or supporting business applications. 
  • Ability to relate user stories to technology implementation 
  • Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office tools and SQL, Snowflake or other relational databases. 
  • Experience with complex data analysis and troubleshooting of a data warehouse. 
  • Familiar with relational and multi-dimensional database concepts.
