Job Summary
We are seeking an AgDirect Account Manager to drive growth and originate large, complex transactions by serving AgDirect’s largest and most strategic customers. This sales role is responsible for working on a strong pipeline of high-dollar transactions through consultative selling, deep customer engagement, and proactive deal management. The Account Manager leverages industry expertise and advanced credit knowledge to structure tailored financing solutions and moves transactions efficiently from opportunity through close. By delivering consistently exceptional experience to high profile customers and dealers, this role positions AgDirect as a trusted financing partner of choice. The Account Manager works collaboratively with AgDirect leadership, Financial Officers, Territory Managers, and Inside Sales Officers to close business originating from dealers, customers, retail offices, and manufacturers, while contributing to overall sales performance, market growth, and team success.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Own and drive high value originations by serving as the primary point of contact for large, complex transactions requiring Level 4 financials. Build a deep understanding of customer operations, uncover growth opportunities, and proactively gather financial information that enables timely credit decisions and deal execution.
- Win business through consultative selling and negotiation, structuring competitive loan pricing, terms, and conditions that meet customer objectives while balancing portfolio quality and association risk. Position AgDirect as the preferred financing partner on complex transactions.
- Leverage deep ag lending expertise to advance deals, applying advanced knowledge of products, financial principles, and scoring and traditional underwriting to confidently guide customers from opportunity identification through close.
- Actively contribute to market growth strategy by partnering with AgDirect sales and credit leadership to identify pipeline opportunities, respond to shifts in the rate and competitive environment, and pursue initiatives that increase market relevance, visibility, and share.
- Build strong relationships that generate repeat business, deliver expertise and exceptional sales experiences to AgDirect’s largest dealer groups and most complex customers. Expand existing relationships, identify new sales opportunities, close transactions, and provide responsive, flexible support—including availability outside traditional business hours as needed.
Education Requirements
- Preferred, 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, Business Administration, Agribusiness, Finance, or Economics
Years of Experience
- 6+ years experience in lending and/or credit analysis experience with AgDirect or related agricultural credit organization. Understanding of agricultural production from education and/or experience preferred
