Job Summary

*Incumbent must live within the Nebraska or Kansas territories we serve.  

 

We are looking for an SVP Lending-Retail responsible for providing leadership and direction to develop and execute the Association's Retail market strategy. Provide direct leadership to Regional Vice Presidents in the execution of sales, marketing, and credit coaching for agricultural loan products in the designated Business Development Area.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Collaborate with the SVP Insurance, SVP Retail and the Marketing and Sales Enablement teams in the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies for Retail loan products.
  • With Regional Vice Presidents leverage individual marketplace data including market share and competitor information to allocate resource alignment.
  • Utilize reporting to coach Regional Vice Presidents on accurate pipeline management of sales opportunities.
  • In conjunction with Regional Vice Presidents, develop and execute customized go to market strategies that align with the Association’s overall strategy.
  • In conjunction with Public Relations and Marketing, plan, coordinate and implement advertising and marketing strategies across assigned business development area.
  • Responsible for providing leadership to enable and inspire teams to achieve organizational goals and objectives. .
  • Responsible for relationships with designated commodity groups, producer groups and key influencers.
  • Responsible for relationships with key State legislators, Department of Ag, Governor’s office, University and colleges.
  • Actively develop relationships with key customers and prospects across the assigned business development area.
  • Serve as sales leader and coach for assigned Regional Vice Presidents.
    Actively involved in implementing changing marketplace delivery models to insure that Association objectives are met.

Credit Administration

  • Provide leadership, direction and counsel to the delivery of the Association’s credit philosophy. Hold teams accountable for compliance to procedures and policies.

Product Delivery

  • Responsible for executing product pricing strategies and product enhancements to tailor products to meet customer needs while achieving organizational goals.
  • Counsel Regional Vice Presidents and Retail Teams for portfolio balance of growth, profitability and quality.

Leadership

  • Provide team leadership, shared vision, and positive communications to achieve the Associations’ vision and strategy consistent with the Associations’ core values and team principles. Build strong relationships and collaborative partnerships within the Associations to understand the business opportunities and challenges. 
  • Establish a positive, participative, and collaborative team environment that inspires creative, high-performing, continuous learning, and engaged team members. Utilize consensus decision-making, when appropriate, to diversify thinking and enable and empower teammates.  
  • Provide visionary thinking and develop strategies to reach Associations short-term and long-term goals.  
  • Ensure initiatives are implemented and adhered to Associations strategic goals. 
  • Responsible for overall business planning and approval of business unit budgets. 

Travel Time

  • Day - 50%
  • Overnight - 25%

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or Animal Science.

Years of Experience

  • 12 + years of experieince which may include prior senior leadership experience in Agricultural Finance
